Synopsis: A strong area of low pressure is now near 38N/70W, and will move NE'ward to south of Nova Scotia through the 23rd while dissipating. Another low will form just east of Cape Hatteras this evening, and this will move slowly NE'ward through later the 23rd, remaining offshore the Mid-Atlantic coast. To the west, a ridge of high pressure extends from Arkansas NE'ward to the Great Lakes, and this will drift E'ward through the 23rd.
Conclusion: Expect moderate to fresh N'ly winds through tomorrow morning, due to the twin low pressure areas, with gusts into the low 20's. Swells will be mainly 4-6ft in areas exposed to the Atlantic. A few isolated showers are found now across Zone I, and there will be a chance for showers/squalls tonight into tomorrow.
