ARC Europe Weather - BVI to Bermuda 7 May

ARC Europe Weather - BVI-Bermuda
May 07 06:39z

Synopsis: Moderate to strong high pressure ridging extends across Leeward Islands. Broader ridging extends from Cuba to Florida. The strongest high pressure ridging will persist east of Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and N'rn Caribbean through tomorrow afternoon. This ridging will then break down across Leewards on 08th.

Low located south of Nova Scotia near 40N/65W with a cold front extending SW across N'rn Florida will weaken as it moves SE across Bahamas tomorrow night, while the low strengthens into a gale near 35N/53W. Front expected to stall across central Bahamas through at least the morning of 10th.

Another High will develop off SE'rn Long Island tomorrow night with its associated ridging extending SSW across NE'rn Bahamas. Ridging is expected to persist through 10th/11thstrengthening across Bermuda and N'rn Bahamas.

Conclusion: High pressure ridging extends across grids A, B, E, and G. This riding will be strongest across grid A with gusty trade winds expected to steadily ease over the next 2-3 days as this riding broadens. Swell will build from the north across grid G and E through 09th due to residual swell propagating away from the active gale pattern across the N'rn Atlantic. E'ly trades will resume across grids G, E, and B by 09th as a second ridge of high pressure builds from north.

The highest winds and seas are currently along the N'rn portion of grid C due to the gale further north, within the warm sector just ahead of a cold front. SW'lys across Grid C will veer to more N'ly by the 08th with longer period swell propagating S across the grid through 09th behind the frontal boundary.
