The ARC is a ‘must do’ for many sailors, and attracts over 200 boats and 1200 people every year to sail 2700 NM across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia.
The ARC is for everyone; families with children, tough racers, cruising couples, big boats and modest boats. Crossing the Atlantic together, but having their own adventures. More than just a boat race, the ARC is about friendships made ashore in the two weeks of pre-departure activities continued over the radio net at sea. It’s about arriving in Saint Lucia to be met on the dock with a rum punch and a chilled beer, knowing you have achieved something fantastic - crossing an ocean on a small sailboat.
“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for a great event, and most probably one of the best experiences of my life” Max Klink, yacht Caro (GER)

TESTIMONIALS
I have to admit that I was a little cynical and wary about whether I wanted to be organised into a rally environment before signing up but I am now a convert – and indeed should anyone enquire I will be an advocate for both this event and your organisation
The level of support was just pitched perfectly and the quiet way that the team organised both us and the overall group was superbly efficient but without fuss and over complication. The camaraderie of the participants was fantastic and added a rich element to our first transatlantic experience.
Chris & Kate Russell, Associate3
“The ARC made such a difference to our sailing experience as a family. We met wonderful friends and the staff of yellow shirts went beyond the call of duty time and again.”

SeaLabs Phase 1 completed - now steering into launching a new gen kit for ARC 2023
The Spanish environmental group Ambiente Europeo equipped 15 sailboats with mobile test kits – SeaLabs - in November during ARC 2022 for crews to measure various marine parameters on the high seas. Using the simple, lightweight kits provided at the start in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, samples were taken throughout the crossing, with the data provided used for diverse marine research projects to gain more insight into ocean’s acidity, absorption of CO2, and level of microplastic pollution. Participants included biologists, ocean researchers, medical doctors, students and sailing families who help in researching how ocean parameters change....
