Bewick of Cowes - oops- the actual day 3!!!

Dolphins, dolphins and more dolphins today!!!Haig also spotted a whale blowing in the distance, but no further sightings after that.Guess what Haig did today?Clue is a number of bull fuckets on wea sater, one bishing fox and lots of sirty dalls- cucking falamity...and we weren't even drinking!First correct answer will be treated to our much prized tin of tripe and onions. The group also had their first communal personal hygiene session on the decks with Robin's salt water soap. ...still think we are beating the bat-foys in the Beneteau!Janie and Robin saw a shooting star and Andrews Ipod collection continues to impressWe are all knuckling down burgers and chips with lashings of tomato sauceMuch love from all us Bewick babes  . read more...

Bewick of Cowes - Day 3 in the big bewick house...

Alex was attacked by a giant cuttlefish and later locked herself in the aft cabin.Jane spotted the first flying fish.Andrew is still suffering from a headache- not sure it's necessarily dehydration....Robin and Jane callously scoffed the last ripe banana, so the other 3 got their revenge by having a midnight feast with some of the fresh bread. The water Ayatollah is fiercely enforcing the 2 litre water quotas. The rest of the fleet appear to be following the Bewick and their superior tackticks.Robin is clearly leading the race for toys, however, sadly lost points for a fresh water hair wash.Crew has finally clicked that bad behaviour is punishable by having to try and sleep with the engine on.After a small freezer-related scare, it seems to be finally up and running, and we may be spared. read more...

Bewick of Cowes - day 4

....light wind day...apparently we are lying 33rd in the fleet!!!Tried some fishing- not much success.Group yoga session on deck also seemed to be a hit.Lots of dolphins (new ones this time).Marco-Pierre Lax, pored the bants off us with a Hawkinsian theory on oiling beggs.Fresh eggs- got to prick the air sack with a pin- check barometric pressure and size of egg and adjust cooking time accordingly! (that's the abbreviated version).Took the opportunity whilst becalmed to have a swim in the North Atlantic.Forecast not looking great- at worst, we have enough diesel to get halfway across the Atlantic or at least completely lost...have to wing it from there. Not much to see tonight except lots and lots of stars!Enjoyed a St. Estephe under the stars.  . read more...
