Jade - Woohoo - Jade is in St Lucia!!

Woohoo. We did it! Good old Jade and crew are safely tucked up in Rodney Bay, St Lucia. We took 26 days in total and it feels like a very big achievement. We arrived in the middle of the night but were greeted by the ARC's Joel and Alvaro and Brandon and Boden from Rodney Bay marina. They guys stood with us for about an hour listening to us saying repeatedly 'I can't believe we are here.. I can't believe we are here.' The rum punches Brandon doled out tasted mighty fine. Noah and Ferne (our resident super stars) woke up mid celebrations and guess what they said? Yup 'I can't believe we're here'. They had a punch without the rum and we said they could have the pineapple that Brandon gave us (he gave us a fruit basket with another bottle of rum in it too!)The journey was good butit was. read more...

Jade - Day 24 - making a wish list

Talk has turned to the things we are going to enjoy when we get to St Lucia. Adam has about 20 things on his list. A few days ago I could only think of a few things like a stable platform and a good night's sleep but slowly things have been added. A current favourite amongst us all seems to be a good old Steak and Chips! Ferne is looking forward to the water, the colours, the marina and of course... Christmas! Festive love to all Michelle and all the crew xxx. read more...

Jade - Day 23 - the neighbours popped round

When you're out in the middle of the ocean you don't get many people popping round. So imagine our surprise yesterday, when our friends on the boat Millport II came into vision. We radio'd and chatted about the trip (and of course the rum punches in St Lucia)... then they overtook us and we're on our own again :-(We are all fine and feel like we're on the 'home stretch'. Lots of loveMichelle and the crew of Jade xx. read more...

Jade - Day 21 - Up and down, up and down...

Big waves yesterday the type that make your tummy go wobbly up, down, left and right. This morning it's still windy but the waves are the more pleasant surfy type. We are beginning to allow ourselves a countdown to St Lucia. The winds look good so fingers crossed we'll be there by the 21st... Noah's joke for the day: Why are Christmas trees so bad at knitting? Because they always drop their needles!Lots of love to allMichelle and all the crew of Jade xx. read more...

We celebrated our windy day yesterday with a Virgin Mary - talk soon turned to when we arrive in St Lucia and drink the real thing and rum punch)!Hope everyone is well, happy and feeling festive.Lots of love Michelle and all the crew of Jadeps: Noah's advent calendar joke of the day - What do snowmen wear on their heads?
