The Atlantic Cup boats are all over half way in their voyages home, and most should be making landfall on Wednesday or Thursday. Club Carp is already safely tucked up in the Chesapeake.
This is a quote from Sherry Day on Trillium: "The winds have been good most of the time. On Sunday, we sailed with the beautiful blue and white spinnaker. It pulled us along at 8-9 knots all day. We have done some motoring periodically when the winds are light or in the wrong direction. Our crew has been taking advantage of the calmer seas and pleaseant sailing. We are reading, resting, fishing and cooking. Life is good! No, I take that back. Life is great!"
The boats are now well spread out as they head for different home ports. For British boats Brizo and Cosmic Dancer V, this is the start of a season cruising the East Coast - they've had lots of tips and cruising recommendations from the seasoned US cruisers on the rally.
You can continue following the boats until they make their home port - click on the Fleet Viewer http://www.worldcruising.com/atlanticcup/viewer.aspx Once they arrive they'll mail the satellite trackers back to us, so we won't see them again until the next rally!
Great summer cruising everyone, and see some of you for the start of the Caribbean 1500 in November!
