Atlantic Cup fleet arrives safely in the USA

Atlantic Cup Fleet Home Safe
17 May 2012

The Atlantic Cup officially wrapped up this week as each boat that left Bermuda has safely made it back to the United States. The rally fleet divided shortly after leaving the island, with some yachts heading straight to Hampton whilst others headed further North towards New York. Brizo were the first to arrive after what sounds like a great sail, other yachts also reports greta sailing. Yacht Field Trip remains in Bermuda to take some time to explore the island before heading back to the USA

The Atlantic Cup's finish very nearly coincided with the start of ARC Europe 2012, the sister rally which saw a fleet of nearly 35 yachts head for the Azores on Wednesday, after a great start from St Georges. Two boats missed the start due to some minor repairs needed to be done but are now safely at sea.

The next World Cruising Club USA event will be the Caribbean 1500 next fall. Thanks to all the yachts who participated - we hope to see you back on future events!
