BRIZO - Sunday, March 11th

We have been underway for a week and already traveled 1230 miles. The winds have been favorable with 15-25 knot winds and with that kind of wind there are big swells. It makes moving around the boat a challenge but at least we are sailing! We caught our first fish, for this leg, yesterday afternoon. Within 15 minutes Hubs filleted it and I had cleaned up and chilling in the refrigerator. Later, we had sashimi as an appetizer and pan sauted Mahi Mahi for dinner. Everyone really enjoyed it, except Audrey. She had chicken! We had another fish on but he got away and took the lure with him. We'll try again today but we are moving a bit fast for trolling lines!

The moon has been nearly full for most of the trip. The night watches have been pleasant with only a squall one night. During one of my watches I saw a huge pod of dolphins swimming on both sides of the boat for about a half hour. It was fascinating to watch! Otherwise, as Clark would say, "There is a whole lot of nothing out there!"

Hope everyone is doing well!

Corinne & Crew
