Well, we are still out here in the middle of the Pacific making our way slowly to the Marquesas. The wind is down and we are sailing wing and wing at about 6 to 7 kts. Not at all fast enough for Bill. So he and Matt retreived the sad Joshua spinnaker to make their repairs. Our galley table is spilling over with Joshua. The surgery for its repair involves bolts, washers, spectra line and a variety of other makeshift items we have gathered together. I'm sure that duct tape will be among the items. This is keeping us busy after all the cleaning of yesterday.
We have been in contact with Ocean Jasper only through email. They will be ready for landfall as will the crew of Crazy. Matt has been making us wonderful meals with all the fixings he puts together. He is very creative too. I think a cookbook is in order from him. There are other folks in this rally who could make some wonderful contributions in the way of fish that they have caught and prepared. Perhaps we can organize a World Arc 2010-2011 cookbook. Then there is all the beverages we have discovered along the way too. My favorite was the Red-footed Boobie.
