Crazy Horse - March 8

Still hard to believe we are in the South Pacific! That's what it says on
the map so it must be so. The sky is blue and the water is turquoise. We are
now sailing along at 9kts with main and spinnaker. That is lots better than
last night which was rolly and no wind. We are hoping to get further south
to the trades.

A fishing boat just passed by on our starboard side hauling 4 or 5 small
fishing vessels. There is sure a lot of fishing going on out here in the
middle of the ocean. Just when you think you are alone here comes a ship.
Ocean Jasper is sailing behind us with spinnaker out too looking quite well.
Had a chat on SSB this am trying to get the other ladies to join in and
share some of their stories, recipes, jokes, anything! We need all the
suuport we can get on a small boat most with more men than women. The
channel is 4E which I think is appropriate. 4 ESTROGEN.

I could handle every day like this one with the wind, sun, and sky. But then
the ocean is fickle and you just take what you get. So when the weather
turns bad I will try to remember this day.

Only 2780 miles to go to the Marquesas!
