Today is our last whole day on Suwarrow as we are leaving tomorrow morning headed for Niue. Our snorkling yesterday was spoilt for me by the number of sharks - they seem to like me and circle around, so I was not in for long. We went for a meal on Harmonie last night and James and the crew from Cleone also came. A good evening was had by all. Today we are cleaning the boat and readying ourselves for the next leg - we are expecting some squalls en route. Our social whirl is continuing today with tea and banana bread with Sue and John from Storyteller, then captains' briefing on the beach at 5.30, followed by another Italian cook up on the beach - this time it is pasta carbonara. No wonder I have not managed to loose weight on this trip!
Photo today is of a coconut crab that was found on bird island. These crabs live on land and crack open coconuts with their claws. They are similar in some ways to a lobster, but more scary.
