We went to Tahaa, an island north of Raiatea. There was a site noted for good snorkeling at Muto Tautau where there is a big hotel with cottages over the water. The area to snorkel is protected from boats and reserved for people to snorkel. It is shallow and full of coral and fish. We had a lovely afternoon. I will send some photos.
