Day 13 Part 3: Can’t let her get away

 

Our excitement of the afternoon was 5 minutes being entertained by a dorado.  Dave had reeled in the fishing line and as he did so a medium sized dorado started to chase the lure.  By this time the lure was within feet of the boat and we watched enthralled as Dave moved the lure from side to side watching the fish chase after it and try and catch it.  It was like a kitten chasing a ball of string.  As we watched we laughed at its agility, speed and determination and became so connected to its spirit that we decided to lift the lure and let it swim on.  Just when we all agreed this was the right thing to do it bit the lure and was hooked.  Decision made we reeled her in.  As luck would have it, the hook slipped and she dropped back into the water and swam away.
