Wolkenschlößchen - Day 7 - Still going south
We are trying to avoid more calm winds and thus decided to go well south. It is frustrating a bit too be sailing all day and only make marginal distance towards Saint Lucia. But crossing the Atlantic is a marathon and we're hopeful that this is the right decision.
We are having a good time though. We are grateful to have so much family on board and laugh a lot!
Our vegetables are still surviving, although the mangos and avocados are soon going bad. We will try to eat all until then. The bananas are also all ripe, so we used some of them to make some chocolate chip ice cream today. Very yummy, especially since it became super hot the last days.
Sailingwise, the day has been uneventful. We almost did not change anything on our oxley all day, just a bit trim here and there. We are now sailing almost in full moon. Impressive, how much light the moon gives out here, no need for any lamp outside. We took our binoculars and could see every little crater on the moon. Awesome!
Daily run: 138nm
Less than 2000 miles to go!
