Glory - Glory Lagoon 42 log day 10- Fish Talk

Sometimes I think we are a fishing boat that sails rather than a sailboat that fishes. We have caught a lot of fish: at last count 15 Mahi and 1 Bonita. It doesn’t take long to get tired of eating fresh fish. I am glad we have some frozen chicken and hamburger meat in the freezer- they have now become rare delicacies.
In terms of tackle I am using 2 Shimano Tekota 700s with 500 meters of good mono ( I think it’s suffix 832) on each along with 6 foot heavy action rods. Leader is 150 Ib flouro. Lures are working in any color and shape as long as there is good surface action.
I came prepared to catch fish and we have not been disappointed! Bombay Sapphire Gin seems to subdue the beasts sufficiently although it does cause a certain degree of unrest amongst the English crew. Except for 3 fish everything has been catch and release.
