Theodora - 1/12

Our first week is up and we have now sailed over one thousand miles continuously without the engine being used once. A record for each of the five of us and Theodora as well. 1,802 nms to go. We think that we will be about half way through the journey in terms of mileage if not time on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

We live in our own little world bobbing along getting on with jobs and generally taking the Micky out of each other, we now haven’t seen another boat for three days the vastness of the ocean is impressive.

We woke to find a flying fish had landed on board last night, sadly it was too small too eat.

The last couple of days have been quite cloudy and cool however today has started brighter and warmer which is what we are expecting as we are on the same latitude as Cuba. We have about 250 nms further south to travel before we are on the same latitude as St Lucia.

We’ve just received the daily weather forecast and it looks like the winds moderate slightly over the next couple of days.
