In Tune - IN TUNE 26th November. Clear skies at night

Our first night brought a clear sky full of stars until the bright moon rise a couple of hours later brought bright silvery light on the water and washed out many of the stars. All those not on watch got a very good sleep. We crossed paths with two other boats at very close quarters. Unfortunately the wind dropped completely and 0200 saw us start the engines, which were not turned off until after dawn.
We spent the morning trying sail combinations in light winds until we settled on dropping the main completely and hoisting the Parasailor.
Hightlights of the day were sighting what we think were beluga whales, Geraldine's cooking, and making contact on the HF radio using Martin's jerry-rigged aerial.
Lowlights of the day were hearing that some boats we had bet to beat them were ahead of us, and catching the fishing line under the boat when we were changing sails.
Good sailing during the afternoon and all crew fit and well and in good spirits.
