As a child I had read about the "ARK" all those strange creatures in one
boat. The ARC I now found myself a part of had some similarities!! It was
well organized and had some amazing characters and all with a common
goal of
reaching the other side of the Atlantic. So what would we all need? A
seaworthy craft and a marathon trip to the supermarket. Provisioning for
the
crossing was hilarious, I'd never bought 60 apples before or washed so much
fruit!
A seat at "Sailor's bar" for internet access and a cold beer, watching the
buzz heighten around the dock as departure day drew close. Safety briefings
done and watches planned and all of a sudden we were a team ready and
itching to put out to sea!
