The Mahi Mahi we catched served us only one meal.
The rest is fed to Mak Mee, the white Herron that landed on the Nix on day 5.
Why the bird is called Mak Mee? and why Boris slept a night with the bird is
described in the following story that was told by crew member
Karel.
Karel told us that he once got caught in his bed
room by his wife with a beautifull blond naked woman. The explanation he
gave her was as follows.
Karel (Carol for his friends) was walking through
the meadow, when he spotted a big green frog. The frog was looking at him and
asked him in frog Dutch ... Mak Mee? Mak Mee?.....(Can I come with you?). Karel
was a moment very surprised but then agreed. They walked through the meadow
till they came to a small canal. Karel jumped over the canal but the frog waited
for a moment and said; Mak Mee? Mak Mee? Ofcourse said Karel and the frog jumped
over the canal. The frog followed Karel all the way to his home, but before they
crossed the road Karel warned the frog for the oncoming traffic. With one jump
the frog crossed the road and asked Karel when he opended the door of his house:
Mak Mee? Mak Mee? Karel left the door open for the frog so he jumped in. After
supper Karel told the frog he was going to bed and the frog asked; Mak
Mee? Mak Mee? Karel thought why not and invited the frog to is bed room.
The frog jumped on his bed and changed in this beautifull blond girl. Moments
later his wife suddenly came in......
