Firefly - Isle Saints
Christmas lunch was a great success thanks to Susie's splendid cooking, Jane's prep and Paul and Peter's washing up skills. Since then we have cruised down the coast of Guadalupe stopping at Anse de la Barque for lunch and snorkeling then on to Marina de Riviere Sens at Basse Terre the capital. We used this as a base for two days to explore the rain forest and a white knuckle taxi ride to the the Chutes de Carbet (a dramatic waterfall).
We then made the 12 nm passage to Isle Saints a beautiful cluster of islands to the South and have spent the last two days swimming, snorkeling and exploring the islands on foot, Jane and Peter climbed the highest point of the main island (Terre de Haute) La Chameau and were rewarded with dramatic views over the whole island group.
In the forthcoming days we will do a little more exploring of the islands then make the 18nm crossing to Dominique where we plan to celebrate New Year
We hope you all had as great Christmas and wish you a healthy and happy New Year
Love
Paul, Susie, Jane , Peter and Grateful (enjoying the tropical cocktails)
