March 16
Yesterday it rained off and on all day and into the night. Our routine was: little wind, all sail out, rain/wind picked up furl some genoa, wind picked up more so furl some more, then the wind/rain shut down so unfurl - repeat numerous times. Then late in the evening the wind shut down so we motored, wind came up around 3am so we sailed for 2 hours, wind shut down so we motored until about 10am this morning then all day today we've been sailing under sunny skies. It was less rolly than usual so I baked some lemon squares (a favorite of mine although Lee and the girls don't love them as much as I do). Even did a load of laundry.
So now it's almost 9pm, we've had dinner and put all of that away, the girls are watching a movie on the computer and Lee will be heading off to sleep for 5 or 6 hours while I stand watch.
1063 miles to go, good night!
