ARC Bluewater Preparations - Medical Preparations
Join Dr. Jens Kohfahl, expert medical advisor to the German Coastguard Maritime Emergency Centre (MRCC) at Cuxhaven, to learn about medical preparations for offshore sailing. The seminar will provide an overview of the preparation, starting with potential medical risks and advice on how to prevent accidents on board. Should something unexpectedly happen during your trip, you should be prepared and equipped to act. The seminar will show and discuss the medical equipment, including the appropriate medication, recommended for offshore sailing, and why preparation through medical first-aid training for sailors will give you confidence in using your medical kit.
