Synopsis: Good day. A broad ridge of high pressure is currently in place across the central Atlantic from the Canaries WSW to the Lesser Antilles. The ridge will remain in place while weakening through today, before strengthening on the 15/12 and 16/12 as a strong ridge of high pressure builds across the w Atlantic. A gale is currently located near 35N/45W. This gale will strengthen as it tracks ne to 45N/25W by the 15/12. A second gale will then develop over Nova Scotia on the 16/12, before strengthening while tracking e toward the Azores through the 18/12. A broad trough of low pressure is situated west of the Turks and Caicos. This trough will strengthen as it tracks WNW toward South Carolina through tomorrow. Conclusion: E trades will persist across all grids through tomorrow evening as high pressure ridging remains in place. Swells out of the NE will build across grids RR and QQ tomorrow evening as the high pressure ridging strengthen to the north, with the large swells propagating from north to south.
