Synopsis: Good morning. High pressure ridging extends from just north of the Canary Islands SW to the NE Caribbean. This ridging covers waters from about 27N to 13N across much of the Atlantic. This ridging will remain in place for the next few days with no change. A gale centered near 40N/45W will move ENE to near 43N/34W through tomorrow morning, at which time an associated cold front will extend SW to near 30N/45W. This gale will be near 45N/25W by the morning of the 12/12 when the front extends across the Azores to near 30N/30W. Conclusion: Overall, conditions will not change much over the forecast area for the next few days. NE-E wind driven swell are expected across much of the forecast area, aside from grid PP where swell are expected to be more N. Trade winds will continue across the area with winds lightly north of east in the more E forecast grids and slightly south of east in the more W forecast grids.
