Synopsis: Good day. A ridge of high pressure is now located form the Bay of Biscay SW to 25N/60W. This ridge will become aligned from the Canaries NE to Spain on the 06/12. A trough of low pressure extends from 20N/40W NE to 35N/35W. This will drift W and will dissipate on the 06/12.To the north, a strong front is located from 30N/70W NE to the Grand Banks and then to Ireland. This front will move ESE, and will be from 30N/40W NE to 47N/25W on the 06th. The front pushes farther SE, to 25N/38W NE to NW Portugal on the 08/12, then dissipates on the 09/12. A gale along this front near 46N/39W will move ENE to Ireland through tonight. Another gale will develop along this front near 43N/32W on the 06/12, and will strengthen into a storm while moving NE to 60N/22W through the 07/12.

Behind this front, an area of high pressure over the Mid-Atlantic states on the 06/12 will move rapidly E to just SW of the Azores through later the 07/12, then expands into a ridge from the Bay of Biscay SW to Puerto Rico on the 09/12. The ridge then drifts E through the 10/12.

A gale will form just SE of Cape Hatteras on the 08/12, and will move ENE to the Grand Banks through the 10/12.

Conclusion: Swells in open waters are expected to gradually abate during the day today and tomorrow from east to west across Grid RR, with E-NE trade winds increasing to 20-25kts tomorrow morning. These winds are expected to slowly and gradually ease through the 07/12.
