I had been told that on
the ARC you rarely see the other boats, because everyone sails in their own
little patch of the ocean. However, despite knowing this I was really surprised
to see how quickly this happened.
Yesterday we had every boat jostling for
space in a quite small area at the start line; each within hailing distance of
many, many, others. A few hours later we could only see 17, by midnight this had
reduced to 10 lights on the horizon, at dawn only 3.
Its odd, that given we
all start and finish in the same place, that everyone disappears so very
quickly.

garage! Up and flying despite every effort to refuse at every
hurdle!
