Coba Libre - Log day 9

One of the most interesting things I have found whilst sailing the Atlantic is how important a good pair of socks is. I was given a new pair of extra wooly socks by my wife Janet just before we set off and they have proved to be invaluable. They are black and when properly fitted come about six inches from my ankles and before you ask, yes they do have an elasticated band to prevent unwanted slippage. The sock itself is pure wool, from the outside they just look like a normal pair of socks, but look closer and you will see that the internal or foot side if you will has a soft fleecy feel, everybody on board has tried my socks and whilst secretly jelous all agreed that they are a must have.
Lesley, James, Lee and myself are all well, we changed our planned route to avoid some bad weather and we are now waiting for the promised trade winds to push us to St Lucia.
One of the other things about my socks is that no matter how long you wear them they do not loss their warm cosey feeling, I am looking forward to many snug and foot comfortable years ahead.
I am sure that Lesley will be asking me to do more blogs so you can all look forward to more sock related adventures in the weeks to come.

Snug a ever Martin
