You may have noticed our track has bumped into land!
We were going very well and in a routine trying to sail with whatever wind we had. The majority of boats ahead of us had motored ahead due to the lack of wind at times. The latest weather report we received was forecasting head winds of 20knts with a 4m swell which didn't sound too comfortable for a few days. As we were still north of Cape Verdes we decided to stop off for a couple of days and hopefully the wind will come around and we can make a good passage towards St Lucia. There are a few boats here who have had the same idea or have come in for fuel as they used their engine for a long period. Apart from being a little frustrated with the weather we are both ok and looking forward to getting on again.
