We're making slow progress heading south as we are trying to avoid hitting 40
knots of wind in the wrong direction. We estimate that we should pick up the
trade winds around 20 degrees . We download daily weather reports from various
sources to assist with the decisions.
A pod of dolphins is joining us on our journey, they have been swimming along
with us making leaping and belly flopps at the bow. You can even hear their
calls; a kind of squeeky sound.
We try to make the best of the calm conditions; we had a lovely evening last
night, dinner served in the best dining room in the world; candle light, nice
dinner good wine panoramic views and a clear night sky with a fantastic
pesentation of the stars and planets accompanied by a few tracks from Pavarotti
and "Flight of the concord".
Denises toe is starting to mend, she caught it the lazarette a couple of
weeks ago. The toe nail is a gonner but its healing well despite her best effort
of partying and limbo dancing instead of keeping the foot resting. She is a bit
accident prone and spent a day with the finger in the air after it got caught in
a window, not to mention the finger getting squashed in the tabasco....
Lutz has been busy crawling around in the hull pulling cables and making the
last minute adjustments to the electrics and electronics onboard, the sort of
stuff that guys enjoy doing.
We are all getting on very well.... so far.....
Andy, Frankie, Denise, John, Lutz and I all send our best regards to all our
family and friends.
