L'ARC RACE.
Is it serious or is it a lark,
This race we
know as the Arc?
We have a vessel and also a crew,
Salted and seasoned
sharing a view
To take on the challenge against the field
And don't think
we've a mind to yield
For neither sea nor storm will dent our
will
Even to sweat or blood we're ready to spill
>From Gran
Canaria to St Lucia
Over the VHF you're bound to hear
>From the course
we set we never strayed
Such was the purpose of Cap'n Wade
With strained
sinews and nerves of steel
We pushed hard our boat from mast to keel
The
news will sound from town to town
That Blonde Moment justly earned her
crown.
