Salamander - Happy Birthday Alan

Today we are helping Alan celebrate his 57th birthday aboard Salamander.

Even Mermaid Mail has delivered a present for him in the form of a flying fish which inadvertently flew onto our foredeck! Sadly this was spotted too late to save the fish but served to delight Alan as we got a close look at this extraordinary creature.

We sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY as Sue served up a cake with 5 and 7 numerals. Clearly at sea is not a suitable place to be lighting candles so we dispensed with that part of the ceremony!

What a way to spend your birthday out in the mid Atlantic - enjoy your celebrations Alan!
