Circe - An American Thanksgiving

Today is an American holiday that the crew of Circe is spending onboard with a traditional dinner of turkey, ham, Cape Cod cranberry relish, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, gravy and herbed biscuits. Each of us gave thanks for something in our lives and I’m happy to say we each mentioned something to do with this adventure called the ARC! Indeed, our water maker quit working on day 2 and despite the diligent perseverance of Captain Bernie and crewman Dave, the Aquagiv giveth no more. With the entirety of the passage ahead of us, we moved into rigid water usage restrictions. It’s salt water showers, flushing and dish washing for the remainder of the passage with fresh water reserved solely for drinking, teeth brushing, and cook hand washing. In other words, you may want to steer clear of us when we pull into Rodney Bay- at least until we’ve hit the showers! So despite this hardship, we are happily sailing in sunny, breezy conditions. We have porpoises at the bow, mahi mahi on the stern troll lines, and flying fish skimming the waters abeam. Yes, plenty to be thankful for.
