Mary Doll - Day 1: A musical Start

After several weeks of preparation, the crew of Mary Doll were delighted to be piped out of Las Palmas marina to the sound of Flower of Scotland. Many thanks to John from Casamara for the trumpet solo, followed by our own stereo system.

Seeing so many boats and well wishers on the shore made the reality of this adventure all the more poignant.

We were all sporting the Mary Doll uniforms sourced by first mate Letitia. Very nautical it is too!

We sent a short video of our departure back home to our sons Gordon and Murray who had been out to visit last week.
