Boa dia mama mia!
We have now been on the boat for 40 something days and the end is getting closer and closer. It will be nice to get back to the normal life on shore, but Im sure the easy life at sea will be missed like a Swedish skier misses a gold medal.
Today we have partly clouded weather, but the temperature is getting better. The wind is still lost somewhere else out on the ocean, so we have been motor sailing the whole day.
Our great captain Skip-Per made both bread and Bacalau (not sure how you spell that) today. This was probably one of the better dinners we have had the whole trip! And considering it was the first time he made it, based on a brief explanation from a woman in the Azores, it could not have been done better! (You would have been proud Deb!)
We are getting close to half way on this leg, I think its around 200-300 nm left.
Today the guys was writing down when they estimate (hope) to reach Lagos. Im not sure if its a coincidence that the majority of the bets was Friday afternoon, just in time to reach Lagos at beer oclock.
To sum up, we have had another great day at sea, and the slow living is optimized!
Hopefully there is no 3rd world war going on over in Europe, everybody on the boat agreed on that we hate when that happens.
Three sixty high five to all of you beautiful people surfing around on the internet!
Again, writing after Kasper is like jumping after Wirkola. Bet that didnt make any sense to anyone, apart to our Norwegians readers.
Anyhow, we managed to live trough a tuff day at sea, beating the elements. With that I mean beating the inner need to sleep. Well to be honest, I lost only once today, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
I was reading this leaflet on Lagos, it was not all exiting so I fell asleep dreaming about Lagos. I was so happy when I woke up and discovered that we still are under way. There going to be some hard farewells in Lagos, and I am not god at farewell.
In a way you could say that Hell is in hello, because there will come a time when you have to go.
Well lets not think about that now, instead Im gone grab a pop and sit down and enjoy the sun set. The ocean is so beautiful, especially at dawn and night!!
