On the eve of a passage
Skippers calmly preparing

Sun gradually setting
Temperature slowly falling
Wind gently rippling through the flags

A sense of anticipation in the air
Tomorrow a new adventure begins
We head to the peace of offshore

At the mercy of nature
Only our skills and training to get us through
And yet we still go

Into the unknown
Because that is living
