The first night will perhaps remain as the most memorable, for a number of reasons. - wind speed reached 40+ knots, down wave speed often exceeding 10+ knots with a maximum of 15knots achieved. Sadly we snapped the spinnaker pole as
we broached.
Wind speeds are now circa 19 knots, a more manageable & comfortable speed.
Already after one day, watch changes as are starting to come together and we’re looking forward to less confusing seas and lower winds. Perhaps the biggest triumph (after being 2nd through the start gate), is that no one has been sea
