There was light to good wind at midday today as Group 2 of the World ARC fleet restarted from Bora Bora on the next leg of their circumnavigation. The next leg, Leg 4, is a nearly 1400 nautical miles passage to the Kingdom of Tonga, stopping at the deserted atoll of Suwarrow and the big rock of Niue of the way. The group which departed today are following in the wake of group 1, who left from Bora Bora on Sunday.

Let's just call it Suwarrow! Although through the ages its names has been very much discussed and disputed. The origins of the nomenclature are in the Russian ship, the Suvarov, whose captain discovered the islands in the early 1800s. However, since becoming part of the larger Cook Island group, the anglicise version of its name has been adopted.
