Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We are pleased to report that after one week, we have not yet filled our waste bin.
It is a small bin about 20 litres in volume and it contains less than 2Kg of waste that we intend to recycle when we arrive in St Lucia.
We have done this to ensure that all dry waste can be seprated into its component parts for recycling when we arrive.
We have achieved this by careful selection of provisions in Las Palmas. Plainly we unwrapped and recycled everything we could in the Marina.
Because everyone on board are more than a little committed to the environment we have also dried and kept teabags for later disposal.
We understand that some brands of tea bag contain small quantities of plastic, so we haven't disposed any overboard.
