Today the crew had planned a mini celebration to mark the first week at sea. Everyone was looking forward to a steak supper and their 1st glass of wine. However, the weather had other plans! Although the boat is on the southern tip of quite a dramatic low,it is enough to have caused strong winds, rain and huge swells. Just getting a lunch of baguettes was a mammoth task and Sally did exceptionally well to bake the baguettes! The crew are glad they chose a southerly route and hope the boats taking the northern route are all safe and sound.
The celebration has now been put back to the 1st 1000 miles and as they are currently on about 720 it will probably be Tuesday!
