Selene - Drama before the start

Just when we thought all was calm and relaxed we have been thrown a curved ball

Unfortunately one of our crew members has had second thoughts about the crossing and vanished in the night - who knows where, but I suspect he may have flown home to England. So now we are 5 with more food to eat! Sadly we will not be able to sail as fast with just 5 but there are couples doing this trip double-handed so I am certain that we can handle whatever the ocean throws at us and Selene is a good strong boat in which to cross an ocean.

Pity Chris couldn't have told me himself he was not up for the trip, but I would prefer him to leave now than to be a problem in the middle of the Atlantic. I think we are all a little anxious as we contemplate the voyage ahead, but some are managing their anxieties better than others. Particularly proud of Lily who takes it all in her stride and it is a delight to share this adventure with her.
