First Edition lll - Lovely Night

A most enjoyable night - with full main and yankee jib, sailing along at 5 1/2 knots in 10 knots of southerly wind off the beam under starry skies. Passing a slower sailing vessel, "Scarlet Oyster", also bound for Horta. Chatted briefly with them on VHF. Settling in on watch at 0300 UTC with a hot cup of tea and brownies baked earlier this evening.

Red cloudy skies as the sun rose, sea direction has changed ,winds 11 to 15 knots and barometer has fallen - our pace should quicken though the ride will be a bit rougher. Still we welcome the winds that will move us along to Horta sooner.
