Talisman LII - Day 2

We are slowly accepting the fact that motor sailing is the only way we will make any progress. We have tried to sail whenever the winds were 6 to 7 knots or higher but it is a challenge to keep the boat moving at a decent speed. We are also slowly losing touch with the larger boats that have been motor sailing from the beginning. The compromise is to put up as much sail to get the most out of the wind, motor sail & try and position ourselves for the wind that will eventually come. Today we have a glass-like sea that moves up & down everywhere. It is a very unusual, hopefully the pictures will do it justice.

The fishing has been a shut out so far. There is a lot of plant life that likes to be caught so this gets a bit frustrating after a while. The crew remains well rested & well fed. Not much else to report other than the 24 hr. run was 142 NM up from 119 NM for day 1. We should be at the half way point tomorrow & closer to the forecasted winds. That is all for now, will write more tomorrow.
