Well folks, the Atlantic crossing is about to make an end. Tomorrow
afternoon local time, the goal is within our reach !!
Strange, but fun. I have never been interrested in sailing, but the captain
asked me for some months ago, and now I have learnd a lot (but not
enough).
The last few days have been kind of boring without wind and a lot of
motorsailing. But there have been some happenings also. Gro got a 5 kg Tuna fish
and was so proud
that se didn't know which leg to stand on and the smile got from ear to
ear. We were also visited by some dolphins and took a lot of great pictures.
Talking about
pictures, we have been taking thousands of pictures and I have filmd houers
of houers with my action video camera. Hope to create a great video on
Youtube.
Yesterday I gave the captain a song from my mp3 player. Come Sail a way by
Styx, and I think he loved it, and felt it was made specialy for him. He is
playing it over and over again.
Today we got the sad message that a crew on a UK boat had died of a hart
attack. We feel sorry for the the family and the others on the boat and have
given them a lots of thoughts this day.
The next week we will stay at Saint Lucia and meet all our sailing friends
again, and have some good times together before Haakon and I go home for
christmas. I will
first have some hard working days at Oslo Police District before I go home
to Rjukan for Christmas holiday with my children.
