ah ok, we seem to be down to our reserves of UHT
milk just short of the finish line. The reserves however is a catering
size pack of 12ml portions of UHT standardised whole milk by Lichfields...you
know the kind you get on the tea making tray in your hotel room.
So this means for Big Al to enjoy his 3 Shredded
Wheat when he wakes up this morning he is now going to have to spend 10
minutes peeling open about 16 of those little buggers - chuckle,
chuckle! He may even have to open a few for the stowaway that shared his
cabin last night, a tiny little bird that landed yesterday afternoon and has
enjoyed sleeping in his cabin since.
Nostra Vida, the chaps that have lost their prop,
came up on the AIS yesterday morning and just as we came within a couple of
miles the wind picked up slightly and they took off at 7 knots! We spoke
to them on the VHF and they were in good spirits and still hopeful to arrive
before one of the crews girlfriends flew in on Saturday. But the wind died
away in the night and finally we caught up with them and passed within
a mile or so and this morning they said they are all ok for supplies etc and
will wait for the wind to pick up and look forward to arriving in Saint
Lucia. I'm pretty sure they and Kotari will receive a big welcome in
Rodney Bay when they arrive.
Four boats all within sight as we come
down to the last 220 miles....
