Butterfly - Day 9

Mark; Past half way and nearly 2/3rds with only just over 1000 miles to go. All going well, managed to achieve over 175 miles yesterday. Last night was exciting with big squalls coming over with heavy rain, when I struggled out of my bunk to go on watch at 3.00am, Kenny and Lee were soaking but very excited , as Butterfly was flying along at 12knots! Those below decks find sleep quite difficult because of the noise and motion.

Mike is making a lunch at the moment which will be the second to last salad as fresh supplies are running low, we then start to have fry ups!.

Simon came below this morning with the wheel in his hands, saying it had fallen off and couldn’t get it back on,  had me going for a minute!

Hope you all okay at home, thinking of you.

Mike: Lee caught a Dorada yesterday and Rob made us a lovely Yo Ho Ho Sushi yesterday, he is getting into the Christmas spirit with his white beard!!

Big seas today with good winds, Simon reckons we only have around a third of the distance to go, not that I am counting down the miles to the finish!!

Trust that you are all well, thinking of you all. X

Joke of the day:

Started a new job today as a bus driver, but it didn’t go very well!

A women got on who had enormous breasts and asked me if I was going to Oldham? Well she didn’t have to ask twice!!

Rob: hot, hot, hot, sea temp 30 degrees plus and blowing a hooley a long, long way from home and any shore. Saw a waterspout yesterday and some lovely birds (or maybe it’s the cabin fever making us hallucinate). Lynn, how are you and da boyz? Love Robxxxx

Simon: All well. Learning to play cribbage while sailing, won one out of about 10 games so far! Mark and I think our teacher Mike isn’t playing to the new rules! We think sleep deprivation is the only way to beat him! Hope all ok at home..?? Love S xx

Kenny : Once again all good on board Butterfly, each day follows a similar pattern now , they are passing so quickly. The following seas are just amazing bright blue with the odd breaking wave, how lucky we all are. The Yacht is not looking to much like John Lewis now Gadders but all in one piece and looking after us well. Love to you all KJ xxx
