The preventor breaking and the resulting roundup last nite in 30 knots has caused us to back down a little. Reefs are in and we hover around 6 knots under main and jib wing & wing. Sleep has also been interupted trying vainly to stop all the loose gear banging noises. The mid Atlantic is far from flat. We wanted wind, although the occilations create very confused waves. Spirits are good (despite the unlikelyness of finishing with silver) and there's plenty of food left.
