Saturday 29th
November
Another day closer to St Lucia and
spirits are high. We haven?t seen a boat for days but we have seen a shark and
although nobody believes them, Steve and Fiona saw a bat on night
watch!
We had a calmer night last night and
were able to enjoy a gin and tonic at sundown, which was pure luxury with ice
and lemon (cheers Bill), and a lovely clear night followed with many shooting
stars spotted. The night sky is spectacular and it is now warm enough to kip in
the cockpit which Liz and Fi did last night.
Today was washday and the boat looked
like a Chinese laundry junk. It did dry quickly though! Although some people did
get shouted at at the helm for doing their best to get it wet again. No guesses
who that was then!
We had to make some repairs to the
spinnaker today but Steve and Amanda did a great job and soon had it back up as
good as new.
The girls are all getting grumpy as they
are suffering badly with shopping withdrawl symptoms so we are planning to set
up a boutique for them with some food supplies etc for them to buy, maybe some
night-time shopping too, even 24 hrs! They will be in
heaven!
Happy Birthday Basti ( Michael can you please
get him a card and sign it from Aunty Snapper) and also to Flic from Aunti
Fi.xxxx
Love to you all from the Sunbird
crew.
