There once was an iguana named Ed
He was green from his tow to his head
He lived in Spain in the sun not the run
To St Lucia he sailed it was said
He sailed on Windancer, a cat
And every passage he passed a lat
From port to port, from castle to fort
He always wore his hat
He joined the Windancer crew
There was John and Ziggy to name a few
The Captain was John
Who skippered from dusk to dawn
And when Ed was sea sick he turned blue
The first mate's name was Ziggy
When she gets sun burnt she turns pink as a piggy
She loves to cook
Or have her head in a book
And knows how to raise a sail and fix the riggy
They welcomed the iguana on board
When they won the ARC award
They gave him a berth
Because he proved his worth
'Til St Lucia they were moored
On day 3 Ed caught a flying fish
He thought it was a great dish
It struggled in his mouth
After wind blew from the south
Ed claimed it was delish
