Quin - quin day 3

Buenos Dias to all our friends & family,
Over the last 24 hours we managed to do 100 Nautical Miles with an average speed of 4.1 knots , which is quite amazing as the winds are extremely light ,max we have had is 10knots with the majority being around 6 ish. We are goosewinged with a full main and poled out genny .

We thought we might have to send Ian to quarantine as he started sneezing , the start of a cold we suspected , he also had a really bad headache a little dehydrated so we made him drink a gallon of water ( no not literally ) when it was his sleep time we let him have an extra couple of hours , and wow he's up with the larks full of energy chirpy chirpy chirpy , no cold , just think he was dehydrated .Anyway he's back to his normal happy self.

Last night we had dinner served on a plate which is quite unusal at sea as it's normally too bouncy so we eat out of bowls.
We had roast chicken with potato wedges , green beans and cauliflower cheese , John is an ace washer upper , I just had to give him a huge hug as I think I had used every pan and dish there was on board , he did a sterling job.

John found a cockroach during his night watch. We bought some bug killer in Las Palmas so major task today to spray the bilges etc . Nick reckons they like cereal , there's no way they're  having my weetabix , they are going to have to go .
On watch last night Nick was trying to scare me he says they eat the end of your toes when you are asleep at night , think I'll wear my socks to bed. Any body out there have any recipes for cockroaches do they go well with garlic ?????

Weather is awesome , very hot indeed. Hope England isn't too cold , thinking of you all .

Hasta Luego ( which means until the next time ) lots love Mac , Sammie , Ian , John & Nick xxxxxx
