One of the captain's privileges is to decide what local time is on board. From UTC 0900 this morning "Tatt av vinden" is on UTC minus one hour. When the local time is changed, the crew has decided (that is democracy) that there shall be a celebration. So we will have our first one today!
Next celebration will be when we sail into the tropics. Probably we will not reach there till the day after tomorrow. The winds are light, and the progress is slow. Though we "cheated" a little last night and run the engine. The slamming from the sails in the light wind was too much for a good nights sleep. And it is very imortant to get a good nights sleep the secoond night at sea. So we did, and we feel much better today than yesterday.
The vhf is remarcably more silent than yesterday, an we have only two boats in sight. We have been able to speak to "Ohana" and "Tempest" this morning. Thanks to running the engine, we keep up with them!
